No partner necessary.

What do I wear?

Dress comfortably. We recommend against wearing rubber soled shoes (i.e. sneakers) as they stick to the floor, and make it challenging to turn.

What type of dances do you teach?

We can instruct in all styles of dance, but we specialize in latin social dances specifically Salsa, Bachata, ChaCha, and Latin Hustle. We also offer group classes in Fundamentals of dance, Styling,  Salsa shines, Afro Cuban, Zumba, and Yoga for dancers.

Do you do wedding choreography?

Absolutely!

Do I need to make an appointment to attend a group class?

Yes, you can sign up for a class once you register.

How do I know what level I'm at?

If you have never danced, we recommend you take one of the intro classes, or come in for a private lesson.

 

Do I need dance shoes?

Dance shoes are not required. 

 

Where can I get dance shoes?

Dance shoes are available for purchase through the studio.

What is the student age range?

All ages are welcome. The majority of students in our group classes are between 20 and 65. 

​

But I have "two left feet," what if I can't keep up?

The majority of our students find our class pace just right. However, everyone learns at a different pace. We recommend recording the moves and practicing at home. Private lessons are another option to assist you in understanding and executing the movements covered in the class as well as improving your skills.

Are the classes progressive?

The classes are not progressive.

​

When are the classes?

Group classes are held 7 days a week. Refer to the monthly calendar.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all forms of payment.

What is your cancellation policy on private lessons?

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance.

Weather cancellations

Due to occasional inclement weather, LESALSA may cancel and reschedule classes for the safety of the students. Please stay tuned on the website or follow up on Facebook  or Instagram to watch for cancellations.

Can you teach at my location/special event/corporation function?

Of course! We love special events and can cater a workshop specifically for your event.

What parties or extracurricular activities do you offer your students?

Our goal is to increase the dance opportunities for students through practices and socials. There are opportunities to go to socials weekly. 

​

Will you teach workshops at our school or community center?

Absolutely! The Salsa Center offers customized workshop packages for elementary students, high schools and Universities. Workshop fees range from $125 - $700. We offer 1 hour to full day school workshops which can include multiple workshops for each grade, Salsa and Latin Cultural performances and/or interactive music-dance Workshops.

We pride ourselves in sharing Salsa and other Latin Dance workshops and events throughout the Cleveland area.
